The ACOD team are thrilled to announce an increase in dispensing training in Australia.

The Australasian College of Optical Dispensing (ACOD) can announce there is an increase in optical dispensing students undertaking the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing HLT47815 throughout Australia.  Following on from ACOD’s success in 2019 with local workshops in Canberra (in partnership with the University of Canberra) and Hobart (in partnership with Optometry Tasmania / ProVision and George and Matilda), ACOD has expanded its local offerings in 2020 to include workshops in Brisbane (in partnership is Queensland University of Technology), Melbourne and Adelaide (pending student numbers).

ACOD director, James Gibbins, notes there is interest in dispensing training, delivered regionally and with the right student focused model. Mr. Gibbins goes on to say having regional workshops, with local state subsidies, is increasing student numbers, whilst decreasing the time out of store and the costs of training.

With the addition of these new regions, ACOD will be offering local delivery in all Australian Capital cities, with the exception of Darwin. In addition ACOD continues to be the largest provider in New Zealand.

Enrolment is extremely simple, made through the ACOD website, and students can receive access to their learning materials usually within one day of registering, enabling a quick start for those who are keen. For example, students can enrol now and have the rest of year to prepare for their first workshop which will take place early 2020. http://test-a.butterflyartstudio.com.au/current-courses/
